In a year where there have been so many challenges, Giving Tuesday gives us all the opportunity to show gratitude for all we have by helping the non-profit organizations that provide such valuable services for those who are less fortunate.
I am proud to have so many non-profit leaders as clients and guests on my podcast. That is why it was important for me to give back this Giving Tuesday. Looking for inspiration? Check out these organizations and the incredibly inspiring work that they do — and consider letting one (or more!) inspire you to contribute to their cause:
- Bringing Hope Home – Paul Isenberg and his team offer financial support for the families who face insurmountable bills after losing a loved one to the horrors of cancer.
- Congreso de Latinos Unidos – Carolina di Giorgio's organization enables individuals and families in predominantly Latino neighborhoods to achieve economic self-sufficiency and well-being.
- And TODAY's episode with the Urban Affairs Coalition CEO Sharmain Matlock-Turner, uniting government, business, neighborhoods, and individual initiatives to improve the quality of life in the Philadelphia region, build wealth in urban communities, and solve emerging issues.
Tune in today as Sharmain shared powerful (and relatable!) insights into overcoming obstacles that she realizes are keeping her from making a decision. (Hmmm, know anyone else who struggles with that from time to time??) Her advice: you have to NAME the obstacle! Once you do that, it takes away it's power. For more details and insights, listen to our episode.
And as a peek into the future, here's another amazing non-profit whose leader I'm officially inviting to be on the podcast (and who I know reads these updates):
Jeannine Lisitski, Executive Director of Women Against Abuse, an organization I've been proud to support with the mission of ending domestic violence through advocacy and community education.
Check out their website too and support their mission today. (And Jeannine, you're officially invited! We want to hear your story on Speaking to Influence.)
And speaking of giving, today is the final day for me to give you the private, unpublished code LAUNCH40 to get a whopping 40% off my new, transformational online course, “Speaking to Influence.” Zoom fatigue is real, but it's not an excuse to be average-mediocre and semi-effective on video. If your standards of personal performance and professional excellence dictate that “good enough” simply isn't “good enough,” this program is for you.
But whether you decide to use the program for your own professional development, or want to get it in the spirit of Giving Tuesday as an “alternative holiday gift” for a friend or loved one, check it out today because the code is only valid through this evening at 11:59 pm ET.
If you would like to give the gift of my course Virtual Influence to an individual at a non-profit organization please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the number of gift registrations you'd like and the email address of each recipient, and you will be sent a PayPal link to make the purchase, after which your recipients will be emailed an invitation to the course as well as a note letting them know who to thank!
Thank you for taking this journey with me. On this Giving Tuesday, please support a charity, whether financially, sharing their social media messages, or volunteering; it all makes a difference.
Here's to your success,
